    El verbo to tell se construye de diferentes maneras: con un complemento directo más una frase subordinada introducida por that, what, where, when, etc. (can you tell me when the train arrives?, ¿puedes decirme cuándo llega el tren? (can you tell what it is?, ¿puedes decirme qué es?), con un complemento directo más el infinitivo con to (they told us to be there on time, nos dijeron que estuviésemos allí a la hora) o con can, could o to be able to más una frase subordinada introducida por that, what, where, when, etc.: I can easily tell which way is North. Puedo distinguir fácilmente dónde está el Norte.
